Mr. Hunt’s Science class conducted a simulation of the rock cycle.
Mrs. Sandra Leiterman, practice teacher from UALR has found a perfect
way for students to simulate how one type of rock can become another
type of rock and to also simulate the processes of heat, pressure and
deposition. She did this by using crayon shavings, hot water and
aluminum foil. This is the perfect culmination of a unit we are doing on
Earth Sciences. Students were given instruction in several SLE’s
having to do with Earth processes. Learning happened and …….oops! We
had some fun learning!
